St. Markis an organization of professionals who care for terminally ill patients in their homes or long-tern care facilities. Under the supervision of a medical director and an administrator, a team of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, marketers and volunteers work to provide the highest possible quality of life, comfort and dignity during terminal illness. Emphasis is placed on individualized caring for patients as well as their families, as they confront the physical, emotional and spiritual issues of the end of life on earth.
